summer to autumn/winter

so now we are planning what to plant in our mum’s garden. She loves her garden (altho she is partially sighted) so we do all the planting, weeding and looking after the plants so they look their best.

She is the person who inspired me and my sister to love to garden, there is nothing more special than planting something and then watching it grow!!!

I will try to upload some pictures of my mums garden as it is a testament to me and my sisters gardening ’skills???" LOL!!!!

so we are going out this weekend to try to decide what to buy to plant ready for autum/winter. I love cylamen think they add a spark of colour in the autum garden.

So any ideas for what is easy to plant and grow for winter colour would be great!

If you like climbers then what about honeysuckle, there are two types, a summer version that is faster growing, and a winter version which is slower growing but both have a lovely scent.

There's winter Jasmine too and winter flowering heathers. I'm sure there are lots of other things as well which are not coming to mind at the moment. Others will know. Would love to see some photos of what you've achieved.

Hi Lynda. Welcome to GoY
I like to plant bulbs this time of year. Some of them will start flowering in the winter for you.
