Did you ever find out about this plant? It's phacelia. I have acquired some and was looking for pictures and came across this one.

Yes I did, thank you Inverglen. It was in a packet of mixed seeds and I asked the company to send me a list of what might be in there, so by checking the pictures online of any I wasn't familiar with finally found it!
