Is this a sun lover?

5 Jul, 2011

Full sun aids rapid growth, but means that the flowers are over sooner. Ideal spot is a west facing fence/wall.

Ok, thank you.
I have a telegraph pole - and the wire in my garden, it's tempting to grow things up the wire but that draws attention to it, I shall have a think! The other problem with it is that I cant reach it when it goes up too far!

I just adore this....not warm enough for it here sadly, although once I did get a couple of flowers before the first frosts! Isn't it stunning...lit from within and that gorgeous star on the blue....lucky you! :)

There is a white Morning Glory (not bindweed) that I used to grow that flowered earlier and was more compact too.

Nah, not for me Meanie, but thanks! it's got to be blue...or look at that ipomoea prupurea on the right....isn't that lovely? What a colour!

Tried that one three times - great colour indeed, but a poor performer. Strange isn't it.......

Pity....perhaps it needs more heat...my purple bell vine is growing now......I wonder if it will flower before the frost!

Mine are just setting the teeniest of buds now - once they get going they're off!
