The first bloom on this very pretty Camellia, it is a wonder it survived after the storms of yesterday......

Very pretty markings and a lovely pretty pink. The Camellia is a wonderful presence in a garden.

Thanks Paul we have three all pink, two are over 6 ft now, so look good when in full flower. Amy I would like to think so.....but, you can never tell, January and February can be very tricky months.

Janey thanks, we are lucky to have a tiny woodland area where the soil is quite acid, so Camellias, Pieris, Ferns Acers all do well there, the rest of the garden the soil is very different, heavy, and light and sandy, a real mixture.!!
