Looks like your yucca flowered well. I inherited lots of yuccas too, and wherever we tried to remove them new ones keep coming back.

This sounds like it is multiplying by producing small yuccas. They do this. You can divide if they are too big (thorny business). They can be pretty tough, and if you try to move them the roots are deep and more yuccas come up from the old roots. I speak from experience of inheriting a front garden full of them. I do live in an area where they seem to do very well, mind you.

this yucca is a very large plant and we cut some of the old rosettes from it every few years. I clean it up every spring and cut out the dead leaves. It is a haven for snails and spiders. The leaves are very sharp so you have to wear gloves. There are a few different sorts of yucca. I have a varegated cream and green leaf one and an ordinary green leaf one that are a smaller variety than the one in the picture.

Yes,I have cut down this plant and it has grown a double stem now and looking great. I did it late summer and it really took off the following spring.

Yes. Just lop it off. The plant will assume an animal has nibbled at it, and just keep growing.
