Thanks Sandra , love hostas but never a huge fan of the flower spikes so wondered if under planted with these bulbs they would come through together ..think it works.

Maybe its us Sandra but spikes get so tall and flop over..bit of a white flower fan as garden so shady and think these white edged hostas should have white flowers ..

Very clever Ray, good idea. Can't wait for someone (not on Goy of course) to say ... Your hosta has lovely flowers .... lol.
The thrushes are obviously doing a better job than the dreaded slug pellets, not a hole in sight.

Thanks Oddbillie feel vindicated now as watched Gardeners World last evening and a lady with a wonderful hosta collection snips the flowers off as she too prefers the foliage..

i love it!
i have a shady garden and love anything white ~ it just seems to go so well and lightens everything
so the lilies dont mind the shade then?

This was really quite dark Stickitoffee ivy behind under the shade of several trees so no direct light ..dappled shade.
