Really lovely, Chris. I like the "hot" colours to the left, and the contrasting "cool" blues to the right in the shade.

There's abit of a mix there but the main one that you can see is "Snow on the mountains" 0r "Snow in summer", real name Cerastium. It's rather a thug but I deliberately planted it here to grow in a difficult area. There's also some sedum and Ajuga but they don't show so well here.

still very colourful

Your garden is ABSOLUTLEY BEAUTIFUL!
I could only hope to achieve something to this degree someday.
My friend gave me some `snow in summer`` and it is doing poorly!
Are those stones store bought..

A lovely mix of colours. I have some shady patches in my garden that it's difficult to find the right plant for. Cerastium may be the answer!

Lots of colors and textures to catch the eye...caught mine...

Thanks for all your comments. I don't often take shots of this area. It's the place where workmen left piles of grit and rubble. I didn't expect much to grow here. I have tried to add some compost etc to improve it, but it tends to get all the plants that have self seeded where they were not wanted and other hardy specimens, and a coupe of shrubs grown from cuttings etc. I'm surprised how things are growing here.
In answer to Newfie, the paving slabs are the absolute cheapest sold at a local DIY supermarket.

I have plans to make paths like this ...I love this, the way yours looks...wonderful.

This is a lovely area! And for mostly self seeding what a geat variety, and so dense! The camera picked up a lot of color for a shaded area as well.

When I said self seeded I meant that things such as the Tagites and Amaranthus seeded themselves elsewhere in the garden and I transplanted them.

Only just found this, but how beautiful. I agree with David about the fabulous contrast between the hot and cool colours; works brilliantly.

I cannot begin to explain what I thought about this picture . It took my breath away it is so unbelievable so very beautifull . You should be proud of what have achieved with this bit of land I would hope to have something like this. But I do not think it would be anywhere near this . I have added this to my photos on my computer so I can keep looking at it . I hope you do not mind

That's very pretty.
I really like the little path.
What's the low-growing plant on the right?
