Still some Tomatoes Left to Pick

Still some Tomatoes Left to Pick

We've had a real glut this year. I've made two batches of soup (used some and frozen the rest) If I get time , this week, I'll make some more!

I must say they've all been good this year (all 4 varieties) Just can't eat them quick enough and they are getting over ripe now!

Thanks for your comments \; \\\\\sandra : The best part is that I'm the only one who likes Tomato soup in our family so it's more for me during the cold winter!
Yes , I like them cooked Morgana especially with Bacon. I'm having Gammon steak tonight so I'll have a couple of cooked Tom's on top!
Julie likes to eat them straight from the garden YoungDD so i grow Gardener's Delight(small) and larger ones that i like to slice in sandwiches , cook, and make soup with. (varieties: Beefsteak Matina and Marmande)
And they taste great too Jacque. Sorry, I can't post any to you. They might get squashed at the sorting office!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfair Paul, mine are still as green as grass :o( They are the yellow Tumbling Toms and I have grown them in a hanging basket, there are plenty on there but none have ripened yet. Guess they won't now that it has gone colder.

They'll ripen on a windowsill Pamazon. Put a ripe Banana next to them!!
I think we've been fortunate in this part of Essex to have more sun this year than most of the country. But it has it's downside as we've had very little rain and that coupled with the strong winds has turned all the lawns around here into sorry looking brown patches. It has drizzled all day today though!
