No better place to sit and relax. Smell the flowers and listen to the sounds of the birds and water spilling over the falls.

Thank you. It is absolutely beautiful. In the summer I eat my breakfast out there and watch the sunrise. In the spring there are daffodils, iris and tulips in bloom.

Welcome Readby thepond, and is there a pond here? Love your pic, hazy days of summer. We would just need a couple of brollies up today though! I looks a real English garden though.

Thank you for the positive comments. Yes, there is a pond, the chairs are overlooking it. The pond is about 16 x 18 feet, and 4 foot deep in the center. I have goldfish and a very large koi. I built it behind my house so I can look at it from my dining room and kitchen windows. I just added a picture of it taken from my kitchen window. I just love looking at all of your gardens. I am so glad I stumbled on this website. It is great!!!

This is what a having a garden is all about. . . . Though I've yet to attain this zen-like moment of tranquillity I shall keep striving . . . .
Every time I sit down in my garden for a quiet reflective moment I see something that needs doing and get up! I do get enormous pleasure from 'just being being there' and being able to pause momentarily to take in the sights and sounds of the wildlife who've grown accustomed to my being there and who know they have nothing to fear from my actions . . . .
Only the other day I was 'transfixed' watching a mother blackbird repeatedly 'fold' an enormous worm, before popping the compacted package confidently into the mouth of her young.
