Golden fern

What is the name of this fern Barbara?

Just going to ask the same thing DD, its gorgeous :-)

It says over on the right - 'Dryopteris erythrosora'
It has excelled itself, hasn't it! :-))

Oh no! Yorks has popped up again!! The fern that I think is like this in my garden comes out this colour and then turns green. Perhaps it's a different one after all...

Hi Pam - well, all the golden fronds have now gone brown. Shame, I know, after all that beauty. :-( I'll have to trim them off in the spring.

I think the ferns will be fine - they have plenty of green leaves as well as the (now) brown ones.

Spritz, Ive just bought this. How much light or shade is yours in? Ive got a lovely shady spot under the cotoneaster but not sure if its too shady.
