Jacque - no, it's usually deciduous although in a sheltered spot in a mild winter, it may keep its fronds.

Amy - the species can reach three to four feet but this form doesn't get taller than a couple of feet

Can't quite see them (old age Po) but they look like tree ferns. Is that a trunk?

Well, it should look good - I only planted it yesterday! It has gone in the shady 'boring corner' to make a feature with several others, some Hostas and other shade lovers. If Henry tried lying on them they would NOT survive! He keeps following me onto the borders when I'm working - drives me potty as he does not know where his feet are going! I have a command - 'On the grass!' which does eventually work.

Your fern looks in far better shape than mine it appears our two aged Yorkies like nothing better than trampling them down, in fact I found one fast asleep on one just the other day the little minx! Hel.xxx.
