I like it to, not one I have ever considered before, cuttings have done well is that 26-8 on the label, there is enough growth they should over winter I would think.

TT. I 'm not heating the greenhouse this winter so fingers crossed for them , thanks Driad lets hope they stay that way ..
Good luck with your Delphiniums San they should come back next year I do hate it when we lose plants especially when you have grown them yourself from seed ....

Brian you clicked at the same time as me ! it's 28/8 ~ I will take off the buds as San says to strengthen them ,they should be alright I didn't heat the greenhouse last year and they survived ....

I will let you know if they survive the winter Sue ,without heat in a cold greenhouse !
23 Dec, 2011
Can you not make an exception for these, and bring them in on a window sill on something similar....
23 Dec, 2011
I honestly don't know Sue , I have always grown Clematis cuttings outside in the greenhouse but other years we have had a little heat in it , this year will be a first and an experiment ......
23 Dec, 2011
oh I see...would be a shame to lose them after your work..
24 Dec, 2011
I didn't mean to but I forgot to close the greenhouse door last night Sue and there was a frost I've been out to look at them this morning luckily they still look alright! Phew!
