It is amazing isn't it!

I grew some from seed last year, they are still quite small!!

I tried some different ones and the wet winter weather killed every one of them. I have just bought - think it is George Davidson - a yellow one, so fingers crossed. I have an orange one also in the garden but it is a bit of a bully, it gets everywhere.

They are lovely Barbara, I have just got leaves at the moment..no sign of flowers yet :((

My orange ones are not showing yet, but this is a mass of red just now. It is strange how some flowers in your garden are out before those in mine and vice versa with other plants. Must be something to do with light, that is the only thing I can think, obviously the little further south you are does make a difference to plants coming on quicker, well it usually does because the further you go down the country the warmer it tends to be. Your roses were well out before mine. Pleased you like them. They brighten up the day. Very dull here today and quite cold too.

Right you are Barbara. My foster child had his 'sports' day this afternoon..I went to watch him, it was absolutely freezing in the field:((( still grey and cold now, shall go up early tonight to watch all my recorded programmes and keep warm. :)))

We had sun all blooming day!! This looks heavenly to me...don't know about a 'hell-raiser' ! ;))

13 Jul, 2011

I knew you would say that, but its name is Lucifer so that is why it is a hellraiser. lol. I sent you some of it last year. Maybe it hasn't survived.

I remember the orange from my Nan's garden as a child, her garden was very cottagey...but I haven't got the room here...I would like one that stays where it's planted..

I have those - they are a bit invasive. Lovely memories though of your Nan's garden, I too loved my Grans garden. Think that is where I got the garden bug from.
