Steps to the stream.

Steps to the stream.

I posted a similar photo last year - OH has put in a bottom step since then, and I have a tiny piece of campanula in a crack on it. I'm hoping that it'll survive and spread.

That is just a perfect way to soften those steps!

Most of the plants did it all by themselves! I do a bit of ivy removal and take out any odd weeds that find their way down, that's about all. :-)) Oh - and aubrieta encouragement.....

You're right, Grindle - I've never had so many primroses! Even OH mentioned it the other day.

Thanks all - I look at these steps out of my window every morning and enjoy the 'picture'.

Very pleasing on the eye:0)

I find it fascinating that they can put their roots into the tiniest cracks. I have hopes for the campanula poscharskyana on the bottom step - it survived the winter, so it should do well, I think .(I hope! lol)

Very pretty and a stream at the end of them?

2 May, 2010

Yes - it runs through the garden! Lovely most of the time, but a bit scary after heavy and prolonged rain when it comes up...and up...:-(((
