thank you it's my first proper venture into gardening and my mind is running away with ideas for spring and next summer.

I sit down quietly on one of my benches with a nice cup of tea and then it starts ......
... instead of relaxing peacefully the mind's popping up with all sorts of new ideas !!!
Then the hard work starts !!!

yes the purple ones are asters there are several kinds some are more daisy like. when they start to flower you think they're white and then they gradually change colour, I've got a red one too and one that is white.

A very nice, neat garden there GG1. I can see you filling it up nicely over time!!

Hi thks for all your coments - one note for oddbillie is that big empty space has to be kept for my car hence the shutter too. No driveway here and double yellows can leave it in side road but prefer not to at night.
