Genus: Ruellia.

Species: Ruellia makoyana.

This plant flowers often and seeds prolifically. I took it out of a terrarium cause it was taking over. My mother plant has stopped growth and flowering. Not leggy, but I'm gonna cut it back anyway, see if I can get it going again. Really pleasing plant. I have another from the seeds, really trouble free. Never has got a bug even in flower, which can happen easy indoor gardening like I do. Nice white veins, purple undersides of leaves and velvety white stems. Doesn't like much direct light. Always a joy, this is one that flowers through winter as well as long as it is kept from any chill.
