About this plant

Genus: Viburnum.

Species: Viburnum.

The AV took about two seasons to establish but on the third season it blossomed. mildly scented white umbels that entice bees, flies and wasps by the score! the fruit when ripened are a lovely gray dusted black...but the birds are so fond of them that they scarcely ever remain on the bush long enough to ripen. I think it was named arrowwood because the shrub produces straight tall sprouts every year and once established it will slowly spread. read of the viburnums of Sherwood!! lol.
