About me

we are growing vegetables for the first time here in France. Climate is similar to UK but a bit more extreme, with short cold winters temp getting to minus 10 at night but long hot summers with temperatures into the low 30's. Plenty of rain in between which we store for watering in the summer. We have an acre but apart from mowing we have been too busy building our new bungalow to bother with it much yet. We have created 3 raised veg plots which were liberally spread with cow poo last autumn. We are enthusiastic amateurs and novice veg gowers.
