Harmony in the greenhouse

I have spent the past few days tiding the greenhouse.
I’ve outed all the poor plants that haven’t made it through the winter, cleared their pots, and generally tidied up. All the geraniums are gone so I’ll have to start again there.
I’ve potted up lots of the larger seedlings, and am begining to run out of space. [usual at this time of year]
Yesterday at noon we held the grand ceremony of lining up the new sundial to the north for accurate time. Fortunately the sun did come out, and we toasted it with a glass of wine! It was OH’s birthday present from the daughter, which has really pleased him.
Today I have picked lots of dandilions to make some wine, apparently the traditional day for doing this is St Georges day. Busy, busy, busy!

I`ve lost all but one of my geraniums as well Driad but luckily most of my fuschias have survived.I always feel good when I sort my greenhouse then spend the rest of the time filling it up and getting it messy again, lol, its a busy time now with the pricking out and I well remember all the juggling about to find extra space.
Lovely birthday gift your hubby has received and pleased the sun was shining for its lining up......

Dandelion wine? I've never heard of it. How is it done?

Hi driad,

Aaaaahhhhh the dreaded greenhouse tidy,

I have started to inch round to doing mine,
well I gave it a good coat of looking at, followed by a really good think about it.

I have a small portable chicken coop, a leaf blower ( that I have never used) a big bin full of rubbish, pots pots and more pots stuffed under the staging,...........

Ummmm dandelion wine sounds great to me cheers!

Happy gardening.

Dear all, thanks for your comments.
Water is a main concern at the moment, we haven't had a proper shower for ages, a bit worrying.
Dandilion wine? I'll let you know, it does not smell too good at the moment, but I am only at the begining of the process. It is supposed to be a liver tonic [if you need one]. They have to be picked before the 12th of May [folk law], if you are going to try some Lainedru, I might make another batch as they are so plentyful this year. A GOY in France mentioned it the other day.
Best Wishes, Happy Easter.
