Oh, isn't it just wonderful? To hear rain coming off the roof into the water butt is a sound I'd forgotten all about. I actually stood by the open back door just to watch and smell the rain. My cat is currently sitting on a soaking wet garden path, waiting for a mouse to appear! : o )))

RAIN, RAIN,RAIN, HERE TOO!!
I saw it yesterday coming from the continent on a very accurate German satellite weather site. It will only reach the south east counties, before heading east to the sea.
Those who may be interested the address is: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsavneur.html and then click on Niederschlag.
You need not understand German like me.

Lets hope they are wrong about tonight,Denise..it has been known ! I have moved some newly potted Fuchsia cuttings,in to the growhouse, just in case..

No rain worth mentioning here in Newcastle, the garden and pot's are bone dry. I have given everything a good drink and will dunk some of the pot's tommorow.

6 Jun, 2011

I do sympathise with you, Mavis as it's hard work keeping everything going without the rain. Fingers crossed for you. : o )

7 Jun, 2011

I hope you you get some rain soon Mavis

7 Jun, 2011

we've had the usual june day wind rain sun showers--- got some pots filled and all the washing dry tho!!

clear sky and so sunny I can't read the screen...

7 Jun, 2011

We just had 2 minutes of rain here, the clouds were racing across the sky so quickly it was gone before it had chance to wet the soil. Oh! well out with the hose and the watering cans again. I just wish I hadn't bought so many tap water hating plants this year......

7 Jun, 2011

Exactly the same here,Homebird..and I was so hopeful too..it will arrive eventually ..sooner rather than later..

7 Jun, 2011

At last a decent fall of rain here today but then the wind got up so strong it's blown everyones newly emptied bins down the road......better go and fetch ours back....lol

8 Jun, 2011

Hehe, bin chasing! I will wish you some of our rain your ways... the sky has been thunderous all day!

8 Jun, 2011

So it was "Just walking in the rain, getting soaking wet" hope you were singing along with Johnny Rae.
amazing how a good downpour smells so good.

8 Jun, 2011

It came at last! It rained heavily for about two hours last night yippee! We had the most beautiful double rainbow too,but it wouldn't show up,when OH tried to take a picture..I wonde why? We could hear thunder in the distance, and the sky was very black, but dramatic..Only downside was, that the electric went off at 7pm till 9pm..maybe a coincidence..but just glad we had finished our evening meal,as the family were here..I had to light the gas hob with a match,to boil some water in a big pan..so we could have a cuppa with our cake..and we managed just fine..:o)

9 Jun, 2011

Perhaps the rainbow didnt want you to find its pot of gold Bloomer?

9 Jun, 2011

I never thought of that Denise..:o) It must know I have a state pension ! Lol.

9 Jun, 2011
