I have a 300+ year old Thatched Cottage in Wiltshire, with about 1 acre of garden which goes down many, many levels into a valley with a stream running through. The garden was a huge slope and rubbish tip, no boudary, no plants (except weeds and brush) 18 years ago. It is now transformed - my garden is my passion. 70 sleepers hold it up, 2 greenhouses (hot and cold), large veggie plot and fruit plot. Ornamental fish pond at the top near the house, and huge wildlife pond in the valley which is fed by an underground spring and overflows into the stream. I have every aspect and every soil, and now retired so spend every waking moment out there. What a joy.
