GARDENING CLUB MEETING

GARDENING CLUB MEETING

Posted on 26 Mar, 2008 3 comments

GOT HOME ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AGO FROM MY FIRST CLUB MEETING. THE TALK ON DAHLIAS WAS VERY INTERESTING & WELL PUT OVER WITH SLIDES & DEMONSTRATIONS ON PROPAGATING ETC. I HAVE ONLY GROWN A FEW DAHLIAS & ALWAYS LEFT THEM IN WHICH APPARENTLY IS OK FOR BORDERS, BUT IF YOU SHOW THEM THEN THEY HAVE TO BE LIFTED & TENDED. IT SEEMS A LOT OF WORK IS INVOLVED, WHICH ONLY GOES TO SHOW HOW DEDICATED GROWERS THAT SHOW ARE.

ANYWAY I DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING ON THE RAFFLE BUT A LOVELY CUP OF TEA & BISCUITS MADE UP FOR THAT.

I LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT MONTHS MEETING, DON’T KNOW THE TOPIC, DON’T REALLY MIND, ITS ALL GARDENING!

Hi Poppy, I started an evening class called `gardening for fun` Its every wed. night in term time. I`m really enjoying it, and have picked up lots of tips. The other good thing is getting to meet with other gardeners and have a chat - just like on here!
