I have a weeping pear tree. It is the one that has vivid pink blooms. It is full of fruit. Is this fruit eatable?

I have a weeping pear - but with white blossom. The pears on that remain small, hard and inedible. I don't know one with pink blossom - maybe it only grows in the USA?

This is the first year that the fruit has been large enough to even consider eating. We went out today and picked some and found out it is a weeping peach tree instead of weeping pear. (When we bought it it was labeled weeping pear.) They are fairly small but I peeled some and we ate them and they are delicious.
