Just in case anyone missed me, I have been offline since the Bank Holiday weekend.
We had a thunderstorm here in Bracknell on the Friday evening and my PC got hit, blowing the motherboard and damaging the processor. I’ve only managed to get back online this afternoon and still can’t access my e-mail :-(

Oh!! I'd just hate that. I hope it was insured. My sister got a new TV when it was destroyed by lightning. Glad you are back.

Thank you all for your welcome.
Tetrarch - some of my material was backed up to the day before the disaster but archives on other stuff was up to a month old. I bit the bullet and paid for everything on the hard disc of the old machine (that was still intact) to be copied on to the new PC. The only thing I may have lost is old e-mails stored on the old PC.
Linda - yes, it was insured to I'm hoping to recover a lot of the cost
