Completed greenhouse tidy today. Had to open window it was 65f and just very nice. my plug plants seemed happy and it was just like summer really. I cleaned my cuttings up and gave them a spell outside. Then it rained and blow me it started to SNOW!. Crikey what a concoction.. But still i enjoyed the day and the weather did not change my opinion. Soon i get my Fuchsia plugs and basket petunia,s so now i have the room on the staging. Caught me unawares yesterday when my pansy plugs came. But now i am prepared for what ever comes (I think). Said that last year and the year before it just never seems to be true (LoL). One of these days i shall get it all right and i hope its that way this year. Famous last words are " Heck i have ordered too many". Take care enjoy Tony

I grow most of mine from seed Tony, always think I have too many and yet I never have any left over, there is always a space in someones garden, we`ve had a mixture of rain and sunshine today, good growing weather, mind you the sky is sparkling now so I guess they`ll be a frost later...

You can never have too many plants Tony. I knew you're greenhouse would be up and running. That wasn't too painful was it! I love that walkway. Is that near you?

Hi Lincslass My little indoor propagator gave me some nice seedlings last year, but my greenhouse at first looked deserted. The plug plants seem to give my garden a quick start but growing from seed will always be my preferance. Nice to hear your doing fine with your plants. Take care Tony

Hi Rose Pixie walk at foxdenton hall. Yes its a nice little walkway. Rumour has it that pixies hide behind the tree,s and if you don,t smile they put a spell on you. And if you smile at every tree then two guys in white coats make sure you don't reach the far end(LoL). Wild life abounds along its length ,nice in summer. Seeped in history the hall is very nice to visit and the park atmosphere is exceptionally nice. Greenhouse now awaiting plants and i am useing my propagator to full capacity so its cross fingers time. Take care enjoy Tony

Teehee! Capt'n...funny as ever! I'm back! I remember speaking to you on here for the very first time last year, and we were discussing how your lovely wife was going to put a bed in the greenhouse, because you were spending so much time in it tending to your plug plants? Do you remember the company sent you dozens of free plug plants as a gift! Lol!! I said I didn't fancy all the deadheading to come!! I'll send you a wee pm tomorrow and catch up!x

Hi Rose Ecky thump i just cannot keep up with you both. My heads in a tizzy Rose. Anyway the foxdenton park( famous for its solitude ,and nice walks) is in chadderton quite near really. Its a district near Manchester but we go frequentley in the summer and in winter it holds its attraction via the lake and beautiful scenery. On pixie walk we veiwed a great deal of wild life last year( birds nest,s, squirrels galore, and rabbits ect. Its very olde worldey and the hall i beleive is steeped in history(1642) although they do not open it a great deal. Will get some snaps and put them on goy for you Rose. The grounds never close so thats nice. Very relaxing to just venture around the grounds . We enjoy all the walks. Take care Rose and enjoy Tony

Thanks for that Tony I will have a look, but you can still put your pictures up. I'd love to see them and I'm sure other members would as well. You are so lucky to live close to somewhere like this. We don't have anything of interest near us.
