Freinds today was hectic. Repaired rear fence whilst my good lady Valerie painted same. It was very romantic as we met in the middle Valerie with a brush and i with my new bosch 18 volt (Do any thing ) drill. Then we cut the conifer bush to our own style and indicated to the birds that all water baths were water full. My tomatoes were fed and my fuchsia cuttings are coming on great . I sorted my hanging baskets out and only left my Eva borg Fuchsia,s in. I then sat down on the patio dining set and made planting plans for next year. It was so nice i fell asleep but the aroma of fresh orange awoke me and the tones of Muffin barking at me from next door did,nt help. Any way it was a great day and i hope you all enjoyed same. Take care enjoy Tony

Hello Tony! Phew, that sounds like day's work tackled head on! You sound like you make a good team, Keith and I usually end up under each other's armpits, both trying to do the same job at the same time, but, then at least it gets the job done in half the time!! Lol!
I was cleaning up at the back of the house today, we've been so busy with work, I've neither had either the time nor energy to drag my tired wee feet outside! But, I think it might rain tomorrow, so I thought I would sally forth today while it's nice and dry, for once! Margaret was visiting, so she 'volunteered' to help, ;0) so between us we got it licked back into shape in no time! I even got all the pots at the back door planted up in the most bright and clashing colours I could put together, from the plants I have left...I'm going to have to supply sunglasses at the door to save people's eyesight!
You just reminded me to feed my tommys, I've grown the yellow ones for the first time, and they're lovely, very few seeds in them, they're almost like a beef tomato...yummy! Very sweet too, harder to tell when they're ripe though!
I'm glad you had a lovely day, I did too, and although I'm pooped now, it was nice to be outside for a change! Speak soon, Tony, have fun!

Lucky man! Wife painting the fence. My wife has not even touched the hoover in our 42 years together. When I said I run out of dust bags she did not believe me because she had no idea there are dust bags inside the vacuum cleaner. She may be doing nothing at home but she works hard with long hours.
When it comes to drills I have everything but my garage is so full and messy that I can't find them.

Hi lincslass Valerie and i put the greenhouse up together and she drilled the base wall into the paving whilst i was arranging the frame parts. She did a great job although i was,nt pleased at the time as i worry about her getting an electric shock(It was raining at the time)and the floor was wet. Must have done a good job as the gails we had did,nt budge the base plate. Take care enjoy. Tony

Oh nooo! Ye be a beast!...not telling me what it be ye found, under that there shed oe'r yonder!!
Be it gold?, or be it shiny doubloons pillaged from a great Spanish galleon? Or dangly, glittery baubles wrenched from the fair necks of aristocrats?...or more likely it be smuggled rare, antique fig bars and rich tea biccys, pilfered from the stash in that there shed, to be swilled down with a mighty tankard of PG Tips?? (milk, two sugars, ta much!). ;0)
Ahh harr! me wee hearty, now, ye and your fair maiden be partakin' of a joyous weekend! An' thee an' me 'ill squawk again at a time of your choosin'! An' til then ye'll be givin' that there baby parrot of yours a wee push on his swing, or else Turbo'll be walkin' the plank! (It's ok, he walks so slow, he'll never reach the end!) Have fun!
PS, yes, I grew them from seed! The tommys I mean!

Must admit we do work together Tony, had many a battle over the years as well, the no go areas are his car, I refuse even to help clean that and my garden, he never has liked gardening and I love it, he will help if I`m stuck with something like really heavy pruning ( under strict supervision of course) and building things, the planting and suchlike hubby calls faffing about, plus his feet go in all the wrong places and he doesn`t know a weed from a plant.
I`ve never forgiven him for weeding out my veg patch when the kids were little, whilst I was at work one day, ever so pleased he was at clearing and digging the ground for me, imagine my horror on finding my Brocolli
plants all dug out and dumped in the compost, that was about 30yrs ago, I tell him now that he did it on purpose to get out of gardening, lol...

Hi lincslass Thats comical as my valerie and her younger sister will not let me make tea after i forgot to put the tea bags in(LoL). They both said i did it to avoid making them a brew in future. Shortley afterwards i went on bottled water in protest. Valerie does try almost any challange i must admit. I would be lost without her , she has weight watchers gold membership so is an expert on food products and this helps when we visit the Gym on a tuesday. Take care enjoy Tony
