A bit of a makeover!

About 6 years ago i wrote into google, Shed makeovers
and my life hasn’t been the same since, i got into the wonderfull world of gardening Forums and learned so so much, my garden would not be as it is if it weren’t for people like you. As for my shed, nothing has changed :)
It needs pulled down and remade but its a huge job and very expensive, Ive tried to pretty it up a few times but its still an eyesore, it leaks and creaks has yuk windows and a lean-to style felted roof, Inside is worse with a cracked uneven floor and its damp sigh, What i really want is a Tiki Hut HA in my dreams, so for now yet again ive tried to pretty it up by hiding the windows and roof with bamboo. i still have more plants to add and a couple of more ideas once the good weather is here for real lol..

Here Go’s. Be kind..Pics took from different angles so you get the idea of how bad this shed is :))

I would love to thread some of my trachycarpus fronds through the bamboo on the roof! but im not lol..

A few random pics took on this beautifull sunny day, loads of planting still to do and buying (the best part) Nana’s, colius, canna etc..

Its hard to believe yesterday was freezing and wet and miserable and i was really worried about my plants, Then today! Just like summer..

AND, To The Beach :)))

You've made a terrific job of disguising the shed, it looks good to me! Hope you all had a lovely time at the beach...I stayed in my garden all day. t Rex are now out in large pots, so the warmer weather had better continue...fat chance! Lol But your garden is the perfect place to be on a sunny day. Your Trachycarpus is a monster!!

your garden looks better ever year Dee, not that it ever didnt look good lol, all the plants look so healthy and can see you take such care of them, Your kiddies look so cute, hope they enjoyed the beach :o))
also im sure and OH could make your own tiki hut Dee, my brother-in-law made a Bar one in their garden, looks great and didnt cost the earth.

26 May, 2013

Dee, I brought my Brugs and cannas indoors and put them in a dark cupboard, I cut the Brugs down by half and put cuttings in water, they rooted and I potted them up recently. Would you like one? They are yellow.

Hi Sand, On another gardening forum a guy is building a small tiki hut from recycled wood (free) and it looks Amazing, upto now he's spent £13!!! When the sheds eventually fall down lol i will incorporate a tiki(ish) style hut but we still need a shed and with the decking in front its going to be a big job with a lot of jiggling haha. Your BILs bar sounds great, Ive seen them on the web and they look amazing..

Booboosmum, are you serious, i would love to try a brug again, my last ones didnt flower untill late summer/autumn and i had to put them in the g/house where i snapped one clean in half grrrrr i had started them by seed as well :( The scent was gorgeous tho..
I might try that with my cannas, i know they dont survive in the unheated ghouse. Thankyou.
Let me know when you want my address, Ooooh im excited now :))) If there sanything you need from me let me know.. Dee.

You have a great looking garden but how comes you didn't do anything about the shed years ago before your garden became so beautiful?

I'm trying to catch up on blogs ...impossible:-) I should think that each time you look out of your window, or step into your lovely garden you feel you are on holiday ...I would:-)) By the way, I didn't notice the shed either and had to scroll back up to find it. You probably notice it 'cos you've fallen out of love with it:-))
