A first for me, someone from another forum kindly sent me some bulbs and they have just flowered, they have the wow factor and i love them, only downside is the flower opens downwards which makes it harder to photograph :))

You hardly ever see these for sale, you are lucky. My best friend at school had some growing in her rather neglected garden and I always loved them.

Sorry, DD, just came across this blog of yours as I was reading your latest blogs on " More Wacky and wonderfull ideas for your garden :)"!

I wanted to comment on them as when we lived in Spain I grew these for several years on our kitchen balcony! I also grew other Lilies in the same place including the enormous 'Madonna Lily'! My wife really loved those Lilies!

I'll have to have a look on my computer to see if I've still got photos from "way-back-then" that I can upload. I took pictures at the time & I know I scanned some into the computer some years ago.

Like you I also loved these Tiger Lilies very much, too.

I've just had a look at the photos from Spain & yes, I've 3 photos where you can see the Tiger Lilies as well as other Lilies.

I haven't actually searched for them DaisyD, but don't ever remember seeing them.

I'll see if I can upload my photos of these lovely Lilies!
.
I was given some seeds last year by a lady from America who sent me them. They have been growing all year on the allotment but I don't expect to see a flower from them before next year or the year after.
