2nd June. The sun has come back!

Here I am again, learning my ABC properly without that rather silly lady interfering with my studies! She is very fussy about the weather you know!!

a is for apple
b is for bat
c is for car
d is for dog………

You see, it is dry today, and sunny and much warmer, and I honestly don’t know what all the fuss was about yesterday!!!

s is for sun hats, sun cream, shells, sunshine, scents and satisfied faces!!

Happy Gardening Everyone!

Our day has been nice too. No washing though, just trying to catch up with weeding - again - still...

Why is it that weeds seem to thrive in our garden when some much loved plants struggle to survive?!!

5 Jun, 2015

Perhaps it's because weeds are truly indigenous plants that thrive in our climate and, more importantly, survive our common pests and diseases. If only they were as attractive and desirable as so many of our imports! I must stress that I love my imports and would not want a garden only populated by indigenous plants!!!

I have those huge orange poppies popping up here and there this year and pretending ot be weeds- no idea how they got there. Even in the veg patch. They seem to have minds of their own.
