I'm so glad it's on right in the middle of the lightest nights, so I can get on with gardening while OH watches. I shall only watch the England games and the last few matches. I hate the early rounds....soooooo dull!

I agree, but I will glance occasionally,if it's a team I know..My laptop is going to be red hot :o) As long as I can watch my pre recorded "Chase" after the News at Ten,I'm not bothered..I hardly watch much TV anyway..

I won't be watching it. Sport irritates me :(
Watching the TV also irritates me :(

I recently wrote a blog called RIO, but that's about as near as I'll get to the football ...

... lots of TV tennis for me to watch and lots of fence panels for me to make :o)

I AGREE 100 PER CENT WITH HYWEL. I PAY TV LICENCE AND NEVER WATCHED ONE SECOND FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS. I ONLY KEEP THE TV FOR MY DAUGHTERS WHEN VISITING. I USED TO WATCH SOME GARDENING ON BBC 2 BUT NO LONGER. I'M ONLY INTERESTED IN WORLD NEWS AND CAN SEE THEM ON MY COMPUTER. NO INTEREST IN FOOTBALL OR SPORTS IN GENERAL. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD CRICKET.
OLD AGE PROBABLY THE REASON!!!

I watched the first half and then fell asleep last night. lol
Will watch some of it if it is on early enough, not sitting up 'til late though, I need my sleep to keep me going for the next days gardening. lol :O) and I love football, tennis, cricket, athletics, snooker, well just sport in general I suppose. lol. played it done it and now my body is kicking me for being such a sporty person in my younger days. lol. but eh ho it has helped keep me fit for gardening and that is my new found love now I cannot run and jump and play sport any more. lol :O) Good substitute :O))))))

Can't stand most sports - football being the worst of the lot. I know it's a business but most kids think they only have to be able to kick a ball and their whole future is mapped out for them, never having to 'work' for a living! It's obscene the amount of money the players get paid and most don't even set a good example!
OK rant over, OH will be watching and I will be gardening, preferably out of ear-shot.

The last time I showed any interest in football was 1966! I had a 'thing' about Bobby Moore! Not at all interested now, I just get fed with all the hype attached to it, before and after each game, and the vast majority sof players are not what I would call sportsmen! That's my rant over too - gardening, walking and reading will fill my time very nicely. I do watch TV but usually at night with catchup :)

All I can say is......when does it end?. It is now boring me..and the guys at work talk of nothing else...I told them go outside and get a proper life !!!.

Lucky here as hubby watches it upstairs, I'm not interested in any sport, never have been, I try not to allow my eyes to glaze over when hubby comes down to give me a rundown on whats happening...

Olive you sound like my OH sports mad, even womens footie!! I have been sporty in my day, judo, badminton, netball, hockey, tennis, all played rather badly mind you, eldest daughter who is 50 next year plays hockey and so does her OH and the two children, we go and watch them when there is a tournament, frightens the life out of me, so dangerous, daughter Emma had her wedding ring smashed into her finger, poor girl.....

I to am like Olive I love most sporting events if you could hear me when my country Wales score in any game Rugby especially (Wales are touring South Africa at the moment and a local lad is hoping to get his first cap) you would not I think I was the quiet gardener you all know :))

OH is not at all interested in football, so it will just pass us by as usual.

Weather's great, so I'm spending plenty of time outside.

Hope you all enjoy yourselves, watching football or not!
