I wanted a more natural look to this part of my back garden,so the last few days me and my bf have been working on it,first thing my bf did was to take out the washing pole which was very unsightly, along with doing this my poor bf had quite a lot of cement to be shifted as youl see from my 1st pic !

These next pictures show what this bed used to look like

Next thing we did was to sieve the soil and mix in some good topsoil and john ins, then the fun part the planting, here are some pics of my new revamp

Here is a list of the plants i have in my new bed, gaura rosyjane, gaura whirling butterfly, bowles mauve, gaura whirling butterfly, astrantia roma, phorium, sidalrea party girl, scabiosa fama blue, gauara, astilbe avalanche white, heuchera obsidion, geranium bill wallis, vncinia uncinata rubra, think iv got them all ! looking forwards to this bed becoming established should hopefully look pretty good, thanks for looking :)

You've both worked hard and the results are really good. It won't take long for it all to fill out...a big improvement (although you'll have to find another place to hang your washing...lol).

That's another bit of beautiful planting W! Poor OH, his back must be absolutely aching! That was a lot of concrete for a whirly clothesline! I got a clothesline that pulls out from the wall when you need it, and hook on a wall or post opposite, and then just retracts back in so you don't notice it. The plants are all lovely, your Gaura looks lovely, I have gaura 'The Bride' but it's very tall and it's getting a bit overwhelmed! Poor thing! The heucher Obsidian is a gorgeous thing, so shiny and black! Yum! Just like your whole new flower bed! Well done pet!

Hiya! Retractable is def the way to go W, that's what I have! I've done as you have commanded! I put a blog on a couple of days ago...but there have been so many, I think it's moved on to the third page now! All these blogs! It's hectic to keep up! And I can't look at the pic page at the minute at all...no time!! I need about another 5 hours in the day! So if you don't see me, don't fret, I haven't forgotten you, just time starved!! Your garden's turning out to be a real cracker! You have a lovely eye for colour! Lol! Take care pet! (Garden is to die for! My goodness, Keith...W such a wee sweetie! Oops! do you think she heard me?? was I still typing?!) ;0)x

No start (except to clean it out from dust, spider webs etc.) on the summer house. I will start it as soon as I've made a good start on the shade-come-rockery area as we have finally picked up the rockery stones and stumps our daughter has been saving for us now for many weeks. I hope I can make a good start on that area tomorrow....as long as the rain stays away!

Like Libet, I don't seem to get a chance to view photos these days and even reading blogs and comments seems a task that eludes me. So many to catch up on....
