A ramble in natures garden.

A trip to the coast to see the wonders of nature & avoid the bank holiday crowds.

Being sunday some were kneeling down to pray.

The sea was calm with lovely views to the lake district..

The banks were covered in thrift & bladder campion.

Lots of seabirds were nesting.

The gorse was at its glorious best.

The only traffic was a herd of the cutest donkeys grazing.

Thought this lichen was very rose like.

This was growing on the beach the perfume was so heady.

Sea kale was growing in abundance too nothing seems to touch it.

Came across this lovely laburnum in a field set against the beautiful blue sky the end of our nature stroll.

Stunning scenery - the lichen made me think of the wax seal on documents from the past - the donkeys are gorgeous and the plants lovely.

Lovely photos, the Lichen reminded me of the emblem of The War of the Roses!

Thanks for all your lovely comments, yes it was the Solway & I am lucky enough to be near for a day trip.I too thought the lichen resembled the emblem,my husband said turn it sideways & it looks like a lion,he always was imaginative.
