Sissy's House and Gardening

Every Fall in Southern Vermont, we have an open Studio Day.

This year I visited Sissy’s house. Sissy was in charge of the cooking at the Dorset Inn, Dorset, Vermont. She moved on and back to her own house and still cooks breakfest and lunch, all in Middleton Springs, Vermont. It is biker’s paradise. Her gardens are sprawling stone wall enclosures, filled with unusual plant combinations.

A beautiful old house held by the same family for generations.

Could be, but I have a pulmonaria with exactly that colouration. The leaves do come to more of a point though. Wait and see what it does in the spring.

I missed the question re the plant beside the Japanese painted fern. My guess is Brunnera - a variegated variety similar to Jack Frost.
