Surprised? Yes I was, as my son doesn’t always remember. I think my daughter-in-law might have had something to do with it too lol!

The rose is called ‘Mum in a Million’ As I don’t have enough room in the garden, I’ve had to put it in a large pot, but at least where it’s positioned it will discourage little people from going too close to the pond.

A treat to myself.

Both Jasminium and rose in situ.

Some general shots around the garden…the flowering Currant is doing really well

Stella is almost fully open.

I don’t remember planting these…so can’t remember what they’re called.

I thought I’d lost this Primula, then suddenly it’s there!

Still lots of berries for the birds.

Hope all you mums had a wonderful Mother’s Day. x

You'll have plenty of scent then with the Jasmine, rose (I assume it's scented) Stellata and the hyacinths. That's a nice colour, the Jasmine. You see so many white, cream, yellow.

Lovely plants, and thoughtful present Julia.

Yes, Mothers' Day highlight for me was a postcard from younger son from his holiday in Sweden . . written in Swedish!

It's actually a deep pink Karen. It's been glorious over the weekend, but much more cloudy today

I had mine today from my eldest girl. Lunch in a nice restaurant in York followed by a trip to the cinema. Beauty and the beast. It is brilliant and so similar to the cartoon.

That's good to know, SBG as it's had a bad press. Glad you had a nice day. I love York... :)

What a lovely present Waddy. My sons, who live in London, were going to send me flowers here in Scotland. They decided to buy a bed for me in Sweden and put my name on it. Last time I was there I had an air bed. :0/ I think this is my best Mother's Day present yet!!!

Aw,so glad you had such a lovely gift for Mothers day,Julia. it looks lovely in the Archway, and so does the rest of your garden...so nice when we are treated by our families. We saw ours briefly on Sunday,,but we had a belated lunch out today, which was lovely, and much quieter than on 'The Day' !!

Linda, I assume you mean a flower bed and not one you sleep on lol! What a great present!

Bloomer; Thank you, it's mainly positioned there to stop Eliza going to the pond. She so inquisitive, more so than Freya ever was. Glad you had a lovely belated Mother's Day, probably much pleasanter than all the fuss on the day, as you point out.

I know what you mean,Julia,as Alfie sounds similar to Eliza, more so than Thomas was..or is it us forgetting how they were at that age? We had a lovely day at Cannon Hall, whilst the family visited friends at their caravan at Primrose Valley for the day..so we all had a lovely Mother's day..They did call in enroute early morning, but not as early as expected... they forgot about British summertime ! :o) x
