Revamped back garden

Hi everyone,
Some of you may remember I told you a while ago, that I was planning to revamp our back garden. It is now completed, all I’m hoping for now is that all the plants I’ve moved or newly planted take and survive the winter. I’m not going to put everything on all at once as I’m sure you would find it too much and become bored. So here goes…

The first three pictures show some of the garden before the work began.

We then began moving the very much overgrown or dead hedge, which divided our garden from that of our neighbours.

We relaid the pathway, making it less ‘straight lined’

That’s all for now, I’m sure you’ve had enough. I’ll post the next stage later, perhaps tomorrow :)

Looking much better. What a lot of extra space you've gained. Well worth the effort. What's the purple flowered climbing plant? I can't see it properly.

I'm looking forward to seeing the next instalment. Are you planning a replacement of some sort between you and the neighbour or are you letting the hedge regenerate from the ground up? Roll on blog 2.

Yes I agree, well done you, so much ground gained there, its always interesting to follow changes in the gardens, its been good weatherwise so the plants should have settled into their new homes in time without coming to any harm, I too am awaiting the next instalment....

It's interesting to see what you're doing. I like those path edgings. They look old ... I mean nice and old - like antiques :o))

Thanks for the comments folks.
They're actually fairly new Hywel, only 2 or 3 years old at most. I just moved them to their new position.

They've weathered nicely, like as if they've come from an old country house :o)
