Gorgeous Blooms, Bugs and Beasties.

Spent all day in the garden as first thing this morning my Orange oriental poppy was open.
Im not sure of its proper name as I only know it as my orange one.

The rest of the day was spent pottering around, sowing some more lettuce, potting on tomatos and splitting clumps of grass.

Whilst my wife was sunbathing I was busy taking pics of bugs and beasties.

Lilie beetle, I get these every year. I manage to squish 99% (1% always gets away) of them as well as rubbing off the eggs.

One of the many frogs in my wildlife pond we built about 3 yrs ago. I tried to get a pic of the newt but it swam away.

Broad boddied dragon fly. He kept flying around and then landing in the same spot pumping his abdomen then flying around again.

Youve seen him before but I managed to get my wife and the camera before he ran off into the woods.
Lastly some might not like them but they help keep down the horrible bugs, although they have got a bit of growing to do.

Lots of baby spiders. When I tapped the bench they all scattered.

When they realised they were not under attack they came back to form their groups again.
