I am anew member and impressed by members keenness to succeed so I thought I would put my ayputh in for what its worth, pin back your lugoles. If you are as keen as me it would benefit you to go to Dibleys website and study very closely the pages written by Rex Dibley on all aspects of strep care.Better still, buy his book on the subject. Please bare in mind that he is recognised as a world expert on streptocarpus and his book leaves nothing out.I should add the reason for the seeds not being the same as the parent plant is a genetic one,no HYBRID plant can replicate one parent as it will have genetics in forebarers from various other sources which will show in the new seedlings.I hope this helps you all to maintain your appetite for EXPERIMENTING as I believe that to be the only way forward. Thanks for you time and good luck with your endeavors. kind regards Thom.

welcome from me too.
I regularly take leaf cuttings from my streps. it is an easy way of propagating them.

Hello Thom - a visit to Dibleys Nurseries is well worth while - we always try to get up there at least once a year - and I am with Seaburngirl - leaf cuttings seem to be the way for me too -
