Your time is up Mr Mouse.

It’s been a few days of ups and downs for me.

The ups are

The weather is warm and sunny (not too hot)
The garden is looking lovely
Lots of birds singing
It’s Easter and that means choccccccyyyyyyy!!!!!

The downs are

Mr Mouse has dug up and wrecked all the seedlings in my greenhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s a running battle to stop chickens scratching up veggie patch, I’ve implemented operation chicken ( temporary fleece blankets to let plants have a chance of growing)
It’s Easter so that means choccccccyyyyy ( a moment on the lips, a life time on your hips)

So it’s by by Mr Mouse, you have to go, humane traps at the ready, and if all else fails, poison corn.
I will have to buy some plug plant brasicas as the ones Mr Mouse scoffed were a second sewing, the first lot scorched in the greenhouse. I’ve made a fleece tent to shade it now. Last year we had to remove a diseased tree that gave shade to the greenhouse, I guess I didn’t realise what a good job it did.

Well I hope you all had a lovely Easter,
Happy gardening.

Oh dear, what a disaster with your mouse - they obviously think you are being very kind by setting out seedlings for them. I do hope you are able to trap them and put them somewhere else away from your garden - otherwise !!!!!!

Oh that makes one really angry, I have experienced that in the past, the air was blue even more so when I realised they had also eaten my bulbs placed in the greenhouse for overwintering. I use green netting in my greenhouses, it works well, I just roll it up in the roof in the winter months.. Hope you enjoyed your chocolate....

my mice love peanut butter on a bit of bread in the traps, that seems the only bait that really tempts them.
this winter we didnt have any in the house, the winter before we must have caught more than a hundred.
i have 2 humane traps and 2 nasty ones for when it reaches plague proportions. i get in a lot of extra walking when they get into the humane ones.....
good luck chickenwoman
