A closer look

I tend to walk around the garden and generally take in the views but rarely do I take a ‘close look’ so I thought I would remedy that.

I got my camera out this afternoon and took these, and to me they seem to take on a whole new dimesion.

See what you think;
Alyssum

Amaryllus

Armeria

Aubretia

Clematis

Cornflower

Delphinium

Dianthus alpina

Dianthus deltoides

Escallonia-Red Elf

Geranium (Cranesbill)

Gypsophila repens

Heuchera

Iris-Dutch-Blue Magic

Ivy leafed Pelargonium

Persicaria affinis

Petunia

Petunia

Phaleanopsis

Rose-New Dawn

Sedum weihenstephaner

Sedum

Tagetes

Lovely pics! I see what you mean about a 'closer look.' Being able to enlarge a photo shows up wonderful markings or characteristics that are not obvious with the naked eye. Lovely!

Thanks for your comments they are all appreciated.

Nariz I don't actually " enlarge" the photos!

In fact the reverse is true!

I actually crop out all the surrounding detail to leave the focal point.

So the pictures are actually smaller than what came out of the camera.

I think the process is called " digital zooming"

Yes, I realise that - I accidentally used an ancient phrase that used to be related to Brownie box camera pictures! Sorry - showing my age! I know cameras and computers can do wonderful things together now (wish they could turn back time!). :o)
