Rain stopped play today!

Thought I`d have a quick glimpse in the garden when the rain stopped as things are opening up daily.
The very old Escallonia in the background is begining to flower after being chapped back , cant name the plant at the left front but the other is a Blue hardy geranium which seems to be taking over.

and am particularly pleased that the Actinidia pilosula (variegated Kiwi has come through the harsh winter and is now in bud must admit it doesn`t show up to well against the very dark arbour.

This little Spiraea Japonica `goldflame` however brightens up the darkest day.
