Just thought I would show you what I was up to last weekend, thank goodness it wasn’t this weekend it hasn’t stopped raining yet.
I decided a few weeks ago I was going to have some fun and enter a few thing’s into our local Flower show, having decided what I was going to do the day arrived. Early morning looked a bit grey, hopefully it will pass of I went to set my goodies up, first of all I’ll tell you what I entered.
2 Large cucumber’s 14" long 1st
4 Cheese Scone’s 2nd
1 Boiled cake, that sank in the middle !!!!
3 Spray’s of Pensteman’s 3rd
9 Spray’s of Sweet Pea’s
1 Picture of Robin in garden. 2nd
Having set it all up everyone one had to leave by 10-30 for the judging to take place then to return by 2, we didn’t go until 3 just in time for a cup of tea then the prize’s were called out.
I was first up to recieve a cup for being a newcomer, then again for collecting a shield for the best veg class. So all in all it was worth all my effects and a lovely afternoon, needless to say I was on a high for the rest of the day.
Then on the Sunday I had all the family back to mine to celebrate mum’s 87th birthday. It was a lovely weekend.
