The story of 2 beans, 3 cameras, several animals and a pilaff!

On a beautiful day, under a perfect blue sky, out in the countryside our story begins…

The only sad thing is, one person was missing! So Lulu this is for you and I really hope you will be better soon.

I wonder if you can guess where we were, here is a clue… these little stars are growing on a trellis!

And in case you needed another clue: how about this perfect flower?

But first

EMERGENCY!!!! HELP!!!! the cutest little puppy Shula is lost!
so out we all go searching, hedges, gardens under the cars…………….

but she was safe and sound, found in her owner’s bed!!!

here she is with one of the search party:

I think she wants the camera Kasia:

So now its time for lunch ~ what a feast!

Monmouthshire’s answer to Usain Bolt ~ the pizza-bread frisbee throwing champion?

We couldnt miss out on the bargain plant stall:

And of course a salute to the polytunnel:

A little shot of the lovely trellis:

You must be wondering why such a strange title by now, we are coming to that ~ but first a walk, wouldn’t mind this for a home with a view:

Is this canal magic ~ it was so pretty, the sky was blue [the canal water wasnt!!]

Are you sitting comfortably? Then our story can begin:

There were once 3 cameras [well 2 + the one I have got]

and a beautiful place in the middle of the countryside

Everyone was enjoying themselves: [look at that magic blue water!]

I would like you to know this is absolutely NOT my alcohol supply arriving!

So where shall we go now? fast forward to Kasia’s lovely terrace and here are the pots and cans!! [sorry can!]

hmmmm whats that you are sitting on Kasia? and where did you say the sunset will be?

These are just spectacular, and the scent!!

And now back to the story, back in the car and off we go, couldnt miss out this photo!

The very friendly and beautiful Kia:

and Billy the kid:

So where exactly are these two beans???? better go and look:

just another little shot this time with a twirl, they are SO photogenic!

2013 a good vintage Stevie?

AHA!!!! the essential ingredients….

And the very best two bean pilaff ever!

Kasia and Stevie that was such a brilliant day, I absolutely loved it! Thank you so very much, it was just fantastic and no, I didn’t want it to end but I’m hoping there will be another time very soon, just as soon as you are better Lulu!!?

p.s. I meant to add, thank you so much for the plants Kasia and Stevie, they are really lovely; the brownies were fabulous and that sundried tomato bread is lovely ~ im just eating it for my tea, thank you both again.

Was going to add a silly footnote...........but thought better of it!

21 Aug, 2012

Not related then - my brother inlaw is a Geordie. But they're soooo similar...

21 Aug, 2012

has your brother in law got the same sense of humour?

21 Aug, 2012

Hmm, probably not - he's got a sense of humour for sure, but not quite the same as Stevie's. That's when I can understand what he says anyway, lol (I mean my BIL, not Stevie)

Aww Kia is so adorable! What a fab blog and get well soon wishes from me to Lulu too - summer colds are such a drag, esp when we've had so few nice days to enjoy :-(

Lovely blog and super photos. Glad you had a good day together. Seeing the goat, we used to have two, Ebony and Katie, when we had our smallholding. Grapevines and home made wine, brings back some memoirs of the last house where we had a white and a red vine. Now we just do elderflower wine. Beautiful dog, love huskies. Hope Lulu recovers soon. Take care.
