After coffee...Pineapple and Poinsettia.

The Pineapple had been indoors. I potted it up a size..and its now in my warmest shade acclimating to the outdoors. This plant had been a Dole..I twisted the top off,and well over a year later we all ate a tiny Pineapple..much sweeter then a market bought fruit. Fresh and ripe always beats store bought even if its the very same variety.
Eventually they will be in full sun.

The Christmas Poinsettia ( I will never forget what time of year this was bought) was once full and large. Then a late December cold wave was too much for a plant fresh out of a growers greenhouse. Days before, the cats had broken off two stems. I cursed. I was going to throw them away, figuring “I have the whole plant, why do I want more?”..but the wife took those stems and simply placed them in a cup of water. She never gives up-wink.
Weeks later they looked to be rooting. So,I got them out of the habit of growing water roots and replanted in the very same 6" pot of compost they came in. One withered…today on May 24th,the other is outdoors also in bright shade.
So,behold my green thumb…eh,or plenty of luck mixed in!
