Gravel Garden Gossip

Well, after all my misgivings about 20mm Forest of Dean Pink, things are looking rather good. I have to admit most of that is down to my 18year old grandson who lives with us. He has a flair for design it seems, he actually designed the layout. I attempted to place some trellis at the front of our small front patch to mainly hide ‘The Beans’ bins and to give us some privacy.Mrs. seems to love to gaze into our front window whilst he gets the car out of the garage, (another eyesore). My attempts looked decidedly dodgy, so I asked grandson for advice.Within a short while he had improved on my feeble attempt. So, I gave him a rough idea of what I would like and off he went. I must say he has come up with some brilliant ideas. I had placed the pots with grasses in where I thought they looked ok, he came home and moved them all, dragged an old stone sink out of hiding, some old pots, metal ornamental watering can and hey presto, garden magic. I am quite excited about it all now and happy to give him free rein. I’ll try and get him to put some photos on here (I haven’t a clue how to), then you can all have a look. Off to get some rocks tomorrow!

Marvellous news ! Someone once said of groups "New members bring new ideas. Without new ideas the group will fold." Its very true. You are so lucky to have an enthusiastic grandson.

Yes, I am very blessed, he and the other 11 are wonderful! By the way, that was my first ever blog, anywhere! Hope to continue the garden today, though found a note on the kitchen table this morning to say he and a friend decided to go to a party about midnight last night! off to search for nice rockery stone today for another of his ideas. All very exciting.

It's nice that your grandson is willing to help you ... His plan sounds interesting. It would be nice to see some photos when he has time to put them on.
