Happy Easter & Happy Gardening!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a lovely Easter, it’s getting very busy in the garden lately, everything just seems like it’s all go all of a sudden :)

Last weekend I decided to put out the spinach, cabbages, beetroot & lettuce – not sure if I’ve done the right thing as I noticed that in all this hot weather the spinach has been rather sad/sorry looking – is it meant to be in a sheltered spot maybe? Yesterday I sowed my runner & climbing beans, sweetcorn, lettuce, and some back up spinach/cabbages… the tomato’s are looking okay but maybe ready for their second pot up next weekend.

This Year the pear and apple trees look fab, full of flower, I’m hoping we get more than 2 apples and 3 pears this time round, but the trees are still young, so any fruit will be a bonus!

Well going to upload some more photos now on here, will blog again soon, remember Easter only comes round once a year – so make the most of the choc eggs and have lots of fun! x

No choc eggs for me sadly as I am trying to lose some of the huge amount of weight I have put on since I finished work a couple of years ago.

However, I am really enjoying the Easter weekend as it has been so sunny - we do actually need some rain here though as we haven't had any for ages and the ground is very very dry and rock hard.

You sound as if you've been busy planting out all your veg - I hope they all grow well - it will probably mean a lot of watering until it rains though.

Happy Easter (well, what's left of it ) !
