Clematis 'ÉToile Violette'

A Clematis of distinction, Clematis 'Etoile Violette' has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit and is a variety that is perfect for scrambling amongst mature trees and shrubs. It has a profusion of deep violet purple, flowers, with five sepals and creamy yellow stamens in the centres that emerge in midsummer and last until autumn. In autumn some of the flowers grow attractive fluffy seed-heads. Its long stems and 10cm width flowers enables it to climb amongst plants without overpowering them. Height: 5m (15').
