Lysimachia ephemerum, commonly known as Loosestrife has pallid flower spikes massed with star-shaped white blooms, which contrast beautifully with green-silver foliage. Surprisingly, the attractive Loosestrife is rarely seen in the UK. It is an elegant perennial, which thrives in boggy areas close to ponds and streams or in bog gardens or moist borders. Loosestrife looks lovely as a cut flower and is also a haven for butterflies. It has also earned an RHS AGM for its all-round garden performance. Height: 100cm (39). Spread: 30cm (12).
