Invincible Pear

A superb midseason pear that is ready to pick around the first week in October. Invincible is known as a 'butter pear' as its velvety flesh lacks the grittiness found in some other varieties. For best results the fruits should be picked whilst still firm and will then store for months. Bring them into the house as needed and they will ripen in a day or so when the rich aromatic flavour and delicious juiciness can be enjoyed to the full. Grown on 'Quince A' rootstock giving a tree with moderate vigour and promoting pears to fruit at an early age.
