Broad Bean Aquadulce Claudia (Vicia faba) is one of the Duchy originals reaching a height of 90-100cm. Overwinter for the first dish of the season.

Type: Vegetable
Cropping: June to July

Sowing:
Sow October to March in a well-prepared soil in a sunny spot. Sow seeds 5cm deep in double rows allowing 23-30cm between plants and 60cm between each row.

Growing:
Support with stout canes and string.

Aftercare:
Pinch out the tips of the plants when in full flower to help the pods swell and to reduce infestation by Blackfly.
