Clematis Marie Boisselot or Madame Le Coultre has satiny pure-white flowers with overlapping petals and golden-yellow centres. It won an RHS Award of Garden Merit 1993 and is ideal for growing in borders containers or patio tubs. A reliable variety raised in the late nineteenth-century this is probably the most widely grown white-flowered clematis.

Preferred planting position: Full sun or partial shade
Preferred soil type: Well-drained soil preferably with root in the shade.
